Tooth Fairy is a peanut butter sandwich on wheat & white wheat - I made her of both so that I could pop the star out and flip it over for contrast. The Lunch Punch imprints the fairy image, but cuts the star right through. The girls also got celery & cheese toothbrushes, grapes and tomatoes on tooth picks (haha), and a Chobani Champions greek yogurt.
Pickle got a Tooth Fairy sandwich but I'd need a magic wand to get him to eat celery, tomatoes and grapes! He wanted his in an EasyLunchboxes like the others though, so I obliged - and added alphabet biscuits. Here's his:
These lunches were being eaten at home so the tooth picks (hahaha), yogurt cups, and juice box sticking out of the EasyLunchboxes weren't a problem, but for a school lunch, I'd have to arrange things differently. And since we are practicing for back to school lunches, that's what I did:
Though the Chobani Champions cups fit in the medium section, the lids wouldn't close with them in there, so I took them out. I usually buy the larger tub of Chobani to scoop my own portion from (and cover with press-n-seal, since the ELB is not spill-proof) anyways, but we had these left over from camping. They could also just be packed separately since they ARE self-contained. This freed up a space to move the grape skewers into, and the tomato tooth picks, with only 2 per pick, fit in the smallest section. Success! The lids went on :) We also had juice pouches left from camping so the sproutlets got those too. Pickle's lunch I left as is, since he normally takes his sandwich in sandwich-sized boxes, not EasyLunchboxes.
Edible Toothbrushes!
The celery & mozzarella toothbrushes were so easy. The pieces of string cheese fit perfectly in the curve of the celery, I didn't need to attach them with anything! I used a mini cutter from a bento cutter set to make bristles but I think they'd be cute even without that detail.
The girls loved the celery toothbrushes - Bella even hammed it up pretending to brush her teeth with hers, and insisted I get a pic for her Facebook Wall :)
Want some tooth picks?
I have heaps of these tooth picks, so I've decided to share them. Like I said, they'll be fun to make special lunches for kidlets who've lost teeth, are visiting the dentist, getting braces off, or to add a smile to lunch :)
I've made 3 packets of 8 teeth, and will send 1 packet each to 3 readers :)

ReplyDeleteohhh...and the toothfairy left my son a gold dollar coin. He was beyond thrilled!
ReplyDeleteMy Grandchildren will be thrilled to see these in their lunchboxes!! Thanks for all the tips on lunches.
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! My 8yr old just lost another tooth yesterday!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! My 6 year old doesn't have any loose teeth yet, and just can't wait!! These will be great for his lunch when he finally does start to lose them! Thank you for this!!
ReplyDeleteI love these picks ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's just the sort of thing the tooth fairy would leave actually, so if we win I might just have to let our fairy deliver them.
These are too cute and would be great for themed lunches. My daughter is 6 and has lost 4 teeth and has 2 that are loose. She has a bad attitude about loosing her teeth and making some tooth fairy themed lunches might just be the trick to turn it into a positive thing for her :)
ReplyDeleteWhen the tooth fairy finally comes, she will leave a dollar! These are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI would totally love to win these! My daughter is starting K in a few weeks and we have to start making school lunches - and I bet she will lose her first tooth in jsut a few months too.
ReplyDeleteLove these picks. My 6 year old has his first loose tooth so our first tooth fairy visit isn't very far away!
ReplyDeleteThe tooth fairy does visit our house and she pays a lot better for teeth now!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! $1 is the going rate for teeth at our house...
ReplyDeleteMy son hasn't lost a tooth yet, I'm sure it'll be sometime soon. When he does, I will give him 1-3 dollars.
ReplyDeleteNo tooth fairy here yet, but we did have a dentist appointment today, and those tooth picks are fabulous! I am in love with the toothbrush celery! So cute!
ReplyDeletethe tooth fairy still comes here... the kids get 50c to 1 dollar, depending on size of tooth and how tough they had to be to get it out (one tooth surprised us and got 2 dollars because it HURT when he pulled it out himself)
ReplyDeleteWe would use these so often... dentist appts, the day kool smile comes each year to talk to the kids about dental hygiene at school, everytime my daughter (who has only lost 6 of her teeth so far) loses a tooth or first notices the new one coming in, or she just needs a reminder about brushing.
The tooth fairy hasn't visited our house yet... but when she does I'm going to have to make a cute lunch like you and make those celery toothbrushes!! :)
ReplyDeleteThose "tooth" picks are adorable and would make my grandson who is losing his teeth now, very happy when he eats over grammy's. Very cute idea!
ReplyDeleteYes, the tooth faitry visits here and leaves some spare change and a little trinket like stickers or lip gloss.
ReplyDeleteThose are too cute! My dad was a dentist...he might even have my baby teeth in a little container still!
ReplyDeleteThe tooth fairy has only visited our house twice so far. She is very generous with the first tooth though...she left $20! I am just starting to make bentos and those picks would be great for my 7 yr. old who is starting to lose teeth.
ReplyDeleteI love the "tooth" picks!
ReplyDeleteI love the "tooth" picks!
ReplyDeleteI love the edible toothbrush!
ReplyDeleteI love the celery toothbrush. The tooth fairy hasn't visited yet--our daughter is only 2--but I am sure the fairy will show up once the teeth start coming out.
ReplyDeleteThe tooth fairy visited on Tuesday night and left $5 whole dollars. It was the first tooth, so it was special.

The tooth fairy leaves money. The amount depends on what she has in her purse or in her husband's wallet that day.
ReplyDeleteWhen the tooth fairy comes to our house she leaves a gold coin dollar in a small pile of glitter. She has only visited my son so far. My daughter can not wait to loose a tooth! She is starting first grade this year so I am sure it will be soon!
ReplyDeleteOur tooth fairy leaves money. Usually 2 dollars. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOur tooth fairy leaves $5 for the first tooth and $1 per tooth thereafter. Between my 9 and 7 year old, they've only lost 6 teeth but we have a couple loose ones and we think this is going to be the year the tooth fairy makes lots of visits to our house!
ReplyDeleteI have NEVER seen edible toothbrushes before. WOW!!! That's a lot less expensive to leave under the pillow, lol!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen this post before. Your tooth fairy lunches are adorable! I especially love the toothbrushes made from celery :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your edible toothbrushes! Brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you get the tooth toothpicks?
ReplyDeleteFound them at Oriental Trading a couple of years ago, but I haven't seen them in a while - too bad because I've given so many away I'm running low!
