Today's the day! I am oh so delighted to be giving away a set of The Lunch Punch's brand spanking new Sweet sandwich cutters! And I'll get to that, but first, let me show off the sandwiches I made with them, and gush a little :)
You saw the Cupcake in Tuesday's lunch, Wednesday's featured the Gumball Machine, and now for the last two... so, how about a couple of Ice Cream sandwiches for lunch? Yes please! To be honest, I made this sandwich for Bella on the weekend - I just couldn't wait for a school day to try out these awesome Ice Cream Cone Lunch Punches!
And finally, the Cake. With candles!
But why should the kids have all the fun?
I made myself a toasted ham & cheese cupcake sandwich for lunch!
For the cheese "frosting", I used the punch again on a slice of cheese, topping the "frosting" part of the cupcake-shaped sandwich with the "frosting" piece of cheese, and adding the rest of the slice into the sandwich. I did the same thing with a slice of ham for the "cherry". Then I toasted it in the toaster oven. Oh, and when I took it out of the oven I added some grated mozza "sprinkles" :)
Mmmm, looks good enough to eat! Thanks Lunch Punch!
So there they are all together, the four newest, Sweetest Lunch Punches to join the Lunch Punch party in my sandwich cutter drawer. Want a set too? Stay with me, I'm getting to that :)
Now, if you read my blog, you already know I love my Lunch Punches, but in case you're just here for the giveaway, I'll say it again: I love Lunch Punches. Not only are they the best sandwich cutters on the planet, (click here for all my posts tagged Lunch Punch if you want to see proof), but they are also an all-around awesome small business owned and run by the amazing Kiersten, inventor of the Lunch Punch, and a lunch-making work-at-home mum herself.
Just a few months ago, when this blog was only weeks old, I sent The Lunch Punch a comment through their website, to tell them how much Pickle and I loved the Lunch Punches, and to share the link to this post about my 101 Peanut Butter sandwiches challenge. I didn't really expect a response, so I was totally surprised to get an email from the owner/inventor, and not just a form response, a real, personal, chatty email. And even more surprised at her offer to help me out with my challenge by sending me the Lunch Punch sets I didn't have yet. No strings attached, no request for a review... just because she is a kind and generous person who was genuinely pleased that her Lunch Punches made my little boy so happy. ♥
And today, thanks to her continuing generosity, I get to share some of the Lunch Punch love with one of you! Oh, right, the Sweet Set Giveaway! Yes, I'm finally getting to that :)
HOW TO ENTER:
1. Leave a comment on this post, and I'd love it if you'd tell me your favourite lunch that I've made, or make a suggestion of something you think my picky sproutlets might like me to make in the future. Or just say hi :)
That's the only mandatory entry - but you can make up to 2 more optional entries, by leaving a separate comment for each of these options, including if you're already doing them:
2. Like both Bent On Better Lunches and The Lunch Punch on Facebook
3. Follow me on Google Friend Connect
* Make sure I have a way to contact you if you win! If you post as Anonymous, or your email address is not visible on your Blogger profile, please include your name and email address in your comment.
The giveaway will run until 11:00 PST Sunday night, December 4th. The winner will be chosen by comment # using Random.org. I'll announce the winner the following Monday morning. Good luck!
Disclosure: I received 2 Lunch Punch sets, 1 as a gift to me and 1 to give away to anyone I wish. No other compensation or payment was given. All opinions and descriptions are my own.
I started following your blog when my kids started their new school year in the Fall. Now, I'm an addict. I love making the lunches look as colorful as possible....and I LOVE that you accomplish this with healthy, fresh foods. My favorite idea so far has been the heart egg. And the cheese square patterns. And the sandwich cutter. And.... you get the picture. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI'm also FB follower of BOBL and will hop on over and 'like' the Lunch Punch.
ReplyDeleteHi i love your train and cabooses. Already like both pages, my claim to fame is that i am Lunch Punch's very first liker i was onto this very early LOL. i would like to see some more ideas with wraps 'breads' if that makes sense
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and ideas, you are so creative!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite sandwiches you did was the angry birds one, I showed my son and he went crazy over it, so fun!
As I mom who packs lunches everyday I truly like reading your blog, it is fun and full of awesome and nutritious lunch ideas. I am excited about this giveaway as I can't wait to get some lunch punches for our sandwiches too!

Hi! Love your blog. I've gotten so many ideas for my own sons lunch from here. :)
ReplyDeleteMy son started school in September and when his first day didn't go very well, he and I decided that if I made him a special lunch everyday, he could remember how much I loved him every time he opened his lunch! I've come here for so many ideas since then! This is one of the few blogs that I really watch for the lunches everyday.
ReplyDeleteI opened a packet of fruit snacks the other day, and it was all witches, and wizards, and princes/princesses and dragons. I made a castle sandwich with crown shaped cheese, but couldn't help but know that if you made a castle sandwich it'd be much better hahahaha!
Me me me me!!! Hehehe
ReplyDeleteI don't have any lunch punches yet, and Little Miss would looooooooooove this sweet set!
If I'm being truely honest, my favorite lunch you've made was the sandwich balls ice cream sundae - SO creative & adorable. Keeps with the theme of this Lunch Punch set too. ;)
I follow you both on facebook too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also already a GFC friend. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I hope I win! I also do not have a set of lunch punches yet :) My girls would LOVE these!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite lunch is your "Sea How Cute" So bright and colorful. Makes me smile every time I see it.
I have been liking you both on Facebook for sometime now :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the ice cream sandwich. Yummy! Going to follow your blog now cause I am kind of new into cookie/sandwich cutters and need to introduce my son more to sandwiches. Glad I found your blog that will inspire me.
ReplyDeleteThis is so much fun, I love all your ideas. I enjoy putting the effort in my kids lunches as much as you do. What an opportunity we have!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh and I would love to make a ham & cheese cupcake sandwich for myself lol!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your first giveaway! Your blog was the first bento exposure we had, and whenever we have the time we try to spruce up my daughter's lunch box. She would love these! We also like you on FB.
ReplyDeleteHi! I don't really have a favorite, but I love the inspiration your blog brings. After I found your blog, I was inspired to make my own bento lunches - and I have some of the lunch punches (specifically the vehicle one with the trains) on my amazon wish list for my son.
ReplyDeleteI just "liked" lunch punch, but I already liked you on facebook!
ReplyDeleteI am now your google friend too (I was just following you on fb before)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite, because they're all so cute and creative! I wonder where you get all of your little picks - I haven't searched your blog to see if you mentioned it. My kids buy lunch at school every day (they have a lot of options and with 2 working parents, it's so much easier!), but when we're all home, sometimes we get creative and use cookie cutters on their sandwiches and snacks! They'd love the lunch punches.
ReplyDeleteI've "liked" both BOBL and TLP on Facebook!
ReplyDeleteI've also followed you with the Google Friend Connect.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your blog, I check it daily!

ReplyDeleteI am very new to your blog.. just found it last week. So far I've seen a lot of lunches on your blog. :)
