Polka Dot Picnic

I've seen a "Muffin Tin Monday" theme on several lunch blogs and thought it was cute, but couldn't see my little girls wanting to eat from our battered and stained old muffin tins. Then I remembered my mom giving me some silicone mini-muffin cups - I had never even opened the package (mini muffins? I'd eat half the dozen) - but I was sure I had seen them recently... yep, found them at the back of the baking drawer... and the colours were a perfect match for the polka dots on a couple of our sandwich containers. Matching makes me happy :)

☀ Today was a bright, bright, sunshiny day, so Sprout and Baby Bird had a picnic lunch on the back deck, in between runs through the sprinkler. They don't have much of an appetite when it's hot, so I didn't do much, just finger foods in the mini muffin cups for some polka dot fun - perfect for grazing.
