There's a new bento tool at my house! It's the CuteZcute Bento Sandwich Cutter and Pastry Stamp Kit. I love this thing! It's sooooo versatile! One basic outer shape with all these details, for oodles of fun food possibilities!
I decided to turn my frame upside down and use some of the features (the frog eyes and one of the panda eyes) to make a ghost pizza for my Birdie. I had edge cheese left over so I made the kitty face, and the word Boo! (also using a letter B cutter I have - though though looking now I see a couple of ways I could have made a B with the feature cutters as well). It was fun!
They probably would have come out looking more recognizeable if I'd used mozzarella, which holds it's shape better, but all we had was provolone, which... didn't. Boo! Heheh. They still look tasty though, right? :)
Next time I'll use mozzarella :) And I'm sure there'll be plenty of next times - I can think of so many ways to use the CuteZcute! These cutters / stamps are so cute, but I also like the seaweed punches. My daughter turns up her nose at the idea of "seaweed" on her lunches though. ;) I wonder what else I could use those on to make the cute faces?

ReplyDeleteEvery Monday, I make a cute bento box for my 2 daughters. (The rest of the time they pack their own lunches.) So, I would probably make a Hello Kitty themed box for my younger daughter who is a huge fan, and panda box for my older daughter, just because.
