Hip To Be Square

Still waiting for my camera to come back from the repair shop. Pickle's iPod takes decent pictures when the light is good and my hand is steady, but conditions weren't ideal today - the sun hid behind the clouds and Birdie was climbing my back as I snapped this. Ah well, mediocre photo for a mediocre muffin tin meal... I just wasn't feeling inspired today... ho hum... sigh... think I have a bad case of The Mondays  (=_=)

Both Sprout & Birdie ate all morning - they had apples, cereal & yogurt for breakfast, then over the next few hours they polished off an entire basket of strawberries - so I just did a light lunch. Half a banana - since they asked for something to "get their yellow" for their Today I Ate A Rainbow! chart, the other half of the breakfast apple, white & yellow cheddar, and whole wheat bread, all cubed. Sprout didn't get her yellow though, she said the banana looked yucky. *sigh*  Birdie ate her banana as well as Sprout's share  :)

Heheh - their lunch matches my blog background. That wasn't intentional!
It made me smile when I previewed my post :-D

    1. Thanks! I thought it was plain, but the girls liked it, Birdie squealed and said "it's so cute!" - glad they are sometimes so easy to please :)

  7. I love the cubes! Sometimes the simplest things are the most fun. My son would have been building pyramids with them & I'd have to keep reminding him to actually eat. LOL Great MTM!

  9. I TOTALLY thought it was meant to match your background! I love that it wasn't, though. That makes it even cooler somehow :)

  10. You may think it was plain, but I like it! I've done a circle tin, but have yet to move on to the other shapes. Thanks for the reminder!
