A NatureBox EasyLunchbox

NatureBox generously sent my family a box of their snacks to try out. I really did mean to make a creative lunch with them... but I kind of ate most of them myself before I got around to it... they were good! I had just enough left to pack Bella a yummy EasyLunchbox yesterday:

She had some NatureBox Firecrackers, grape tomatoes, Justin's Honey Peanut Butter & celery sticks, NatureBox Sunshine Chips, NatureBox Figgy Bars, and NatureBox Dried Cherries.

Want to know more about the NatureBox treats?

NatureBox is a subscription service delivering healthy snacks on a monthly basis. Each box contains a variety of snacks, plus suggestions for ways to enjoy them. They currently ship to the 48 continental states, PO boxes,  and even FPO/APO addresses (Yay! I know my Sailor Boy loves getting snacks in the mail when he's deployed!)  Here's our March NatureBox:

It was fun opening it and discovering the treats it held! Some were things we probably never would have chosen ourselves, but since they were there, we did, and I'm glad because we discovered some new favourites! They were:

Sunshine Chips. These. Are. So. Good!

They are vegetable chips. Sweet potato, taro, squash, carrot & green bean. Sweet & savoury, lightly salted, with just the right amount of crispness. I didn't think I liked the green bean at first - but I was wrong, because I wanted another, and then another - and pretty soon I barely had enough for Bella to try with lunch the next day!

Here's Bella trying the Sunshine Chips:

  1. Looking one over..."Carrot chips... weird."
  2. Skeptically taking a bite.
  3. Making a funny face while tasting. This is where I thought she might not like them.
  4. "These are amazing! I love them!" Turns out the funny face was her being surprised they were so good :)
Figgy Bars & Dried Bing Cherries

The figgy bars are like a fig newton - something else Bella's never had before. I'm not a fan of that type of biscuit so I've just never bought any for the sproutlets to try... well, Bella LOVED them.  She didn't eat all her cherries - I think the figgy bars were very filling. That's actually 1 cut in half in her lunchbox. Birdie had her Blue's Clues lunch but found room for Bella's cherries, or as she called them, "big raisins".
Our March box also came with Firecrackers - sweet chili rice crackers, lightly flavoured with soy sauce, garlic, and paprika - a little too lightly flavoured for our spice loving family though - and Nuts for Granola - yummy super fresh-tasting, filling, and full of flavour without added sweetness. I ate it all. Nope, I didn't share. Maybe next time :) I wonder if there will be granola next time... who knows!
