Both Sprout & Birdie ate all morning - they had apples, cereal & yogurt for breakfast, then over the next few hours they polished off an entire basket of strawberries - so I just did a light lunch. Half a banana - since they asked for something to "get their yellow" for their Today I Ate A Rainbow! chart, the other half of the breakfast apple, white & yellow cheddar, and whole wheat bread, all cubed. Sprout didn't get her yellow though, she said the banana looked yucky. *sigh* Birdie ate her banana as well as Sprout's share :)
Heheh - their lunch matches my blog background. That wasn't intentional!
It made me smile when I previewed my post :-D

cute :) I love all the little squares! Simple but FUN!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I thought it was plain, but the girls liked it, Birdie squealed and said "it's so cute!" - glad they are sometimes so easy to please :)
DeleteNeat and cute:) Did you use a cutter and is it easy to cut those squares, they are just so neat?
ReplyDeleteThanks! I just used a chefs knife today, but I've done similar cube lunches with my FunBites Cube it! http://www.funbites.com/
DeleteCool square lunch!!
ReplyDeleteI think it is totally hip to be square!
ReplyDeleteHow fun and simple! Love your "square meal!"
ReplyDeleteLove your square meal!
ReplyDeleteI agree, the cubes are cute! I KNOW my girls would go gaga for this :)
ReplyDeleteI love the cubes! Sometimes the simplest things are the most fun. My son would have been building pyramids with them & I'd have to keep reminding him to actually eat. LOL Great MTM!
ReplyDeleteYour square lunch is hip, to be sure! ~Like it!!
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY thought it was meant to match your background! I love that it wasn't, though. That makes it even cooler somehow :)
ReplyDeleteYou may think it was plain, but I like it! I've done a circle tin, but have yet to move on to the other shapes. Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of doing a shape based tin. Never thought of that before!
