Super Bowl Football Lunch

It's Super Bowl XLVIII this weekend... are you ready for some football?  Pickle & Sailor Boy are!  They're rooting for the Seattle Seahawks of course, we do live on Whidbey Island, they are the home team :)  I packed a green & blue Seahawks football lunch in my Pickle's EasyLunchbox.  I don't follow the game myself but I like making my kidlet smile at lunch  ;)

Super Bowl Football Lunch
I took a chance with that brown bread football!  He may not eat that part.  I know he'll eat the oatmeal bar cut in a football shape & decorated with cookie icing :)  The stuff in the blue cup is yogurt, coloured blue & sprinkled with green sanding sugar & chocoladehagel.  'Hawks is spelled out with alphabet bento picks, & a Lunchbox Love note reminds him that he's number one with me :)

Amazing Spider-Man Lunch!

Just so we're clear - the lunch was not amazing - but with help from some Marvel-ous accessories it became an "Amazing Spider-Man" themed lunch :)

Pickle hasn't wanted me to get creative with his sandwiches lately - he doesn't want any of the sandwich to be missing, not even the crust! So I've been making his plain lunches more fun with cupcake decorations, cookie stamps, Lunchbox Love notes, & other accessories:

For this lunch I used a Spider-Man cupcake liner (inside out so the comic side shows) so he uncovered the superhero when he ate his Oreos, topped his yogurt with star sprinkles, & stamped Spidey's face on his sandwich.

I stuck a Spider-Man cupcake pick in the end of the wrapped string cheese - I like how it looks like Spidey is crawling down it :) And finding a blue & red Lunchbox Love note that said "have an amazing day" was serendipitous!

Thanks to my friend Kendra for the Spidey spoon. With the Spider-Man ice pack, red BUILT bag, & blue lidded EasyLunchbox, everything matched.

I like when stuff is matchy :)  Here's some of the stuff I used for this lunch:

The BUILT bag isn't available in solid red anymore but we have several in different prints, love them - they are insulating, machine-washable, & fold flat. The Marvel cookie cutters are hard to find which is probably why they are priced so high... and the blue cup I packed the yogurt in is one of my favourites - aside from being just the right size for snacks & easy to open, it has a leak-proof seal & it fits perfectly in the EasyLunchbox!

Sproutlets Choice

Sproutlet's choice lunches today. Bean Sprout asked for fruit, chocolate, & a Go-Gurt in her Go Green Lunch Box. I gave her grapes, strawberries (with a little chocolate bar bento pick), chocolate yogurt covered raisins, chocolate graham stars, & a strawberry Go-Gurt.  I also put some reusable ice cubes in the yogurt section to keep it nice & chilly.

Go Green Lunch Box Kids Choice

Bella wanted soup & sides. She got tomato & noodles in her LunchBots thermal container, and Wonderful salt & pepper pistachios, Cheez-It crackers, grapes, & sweet mini peppers in her LunchBots Quad.

Pickle's home with croup and not hungry, Beanstalk's buying in the cafeteria, and Birdie made herself a cheese sandwich with our ice cream cone Lunch Punch, then coloured it with food markers :

Yes, that's Birdie, she wanted her hair "shaved like Amy Pond" (Karen Gillan).

Almost Late Lunch

I've been out of the country for the past week so Sailor Boy's been making the sproutlets' lunches. I'm home now - and you might think I'd be excited to get back to packing for them, up early and making something cute, right? You'd be wrong, though - I slept in then scrambled around hurriedly throwing this & that in their lunchboxes :) Here's what Mia Bella got:

Easy panda lunch packed in EasyLunchboxes

Lunch is a Clif bar, string cheese with a panda pick stuck in the top, gummy fruit snacks in a little panda cup, dried strawberries & cucumber slices also with panda bento picks in them, packed in EasyLunchboxes.

I had to dig around for the panda picks since I failed to put them away properly last time I used them! That left me too little time to do anything cute to, or snap pics of the other kidlets' lunches but no loss there, they were pretty lame :)

Today's lunch was packed with:

Hopping Back To School in EasyLunchboxes!

Winter break is over, the sproutlets are back in school. The older 3 chose to get the school's hot lunch on this cold day (well, cold for the PNW) but my Bean Sprout wanted me to pack her one:

Sydney Bean took a froggy-themed EasyLunchboxes bento with a frog face peanut butter & Nutella sandwich (made with our CuteZcute Animal Friends stamp & cutter), carrot sticks & green grapes with frog picks, & a GoGurt. GoGurts fit well folded in an L shape. I should try freezing some like this!

I even found a Lunchbox Love note (in vol. 55) with a fun frog fact to include :)

Birdie has three little pigs in her EasyLunchbox. And one big one :)

She has a cheese sandwich made with the stamper from our CuteZcute & a round pocket sandwich press, and a Halo orange & strawberries with piglet picks - one flipped around backwards so she could see the curly tail :)
