Earth Day Bento & Balance Bar Giveaway

Happy Earth Day! I packed Bella's lunch in her PlanetBox today - it seemed fitting :) She has yogurt with blue, green, & chocolate sprinkles,  honeydew melon balls, veggies with tree & leaf picks, & a Balance energy bar:

We were recently given a box of dark chocolate crunch Balance bars to try - which Bella proclaimed "Delicious!" Rich in both chocolate flavour and nutrition, Balance bar's new dark chocolate varieties are certified gluten-free and made with 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified™ cocoa, so I can feel good about giving them to her. Especially today, on Earth Day!

Balance is giving away a box of their Dark Chocolate Crunch bars to one lucky U.S. reader! Entering is easy via the widget below:
Balance bars follow the 40-30-30 nutrition principle – a formula that provides the caloric ratio of carbohydrates, protein, & fat that your body needs for longer lasting balanced energy & hunger satisfaction. And they're delicious!

Some stuff I used to make this lunch:

Disclosure: Balance Bar provided me with a complimentary box of energy bars and pledged to provide the same to one winner in the US. All opinions expressed are my own.

  3. I always love to see your lunch ideas. Makes me really wish my daughter wasn't so picky. Out of that lunch she would only eat the yogurt and grapes. Which is a good start I suppose.

    1. I started introducing mine to more fruits & veggies by packing what I knew they liked plus something new or that they hadn't been crazy about before. If they are hungry enough there is a chance they might try it! Well, some kids. There are kids that are just a little picky, and then there are kids with food issues, like my Pickle, who most of the time would not eat at all before trying something unfamiliar. We do what we can :)

    2. Boogie is picky beyond belief. I once sent her to camp when she was 3. I had to pick up her 2 days later because she refused to eat anything there, none of it was her favorite (or not cooked to her liking). She's 8 now, and still extremely picky. She wants to try new foods, but her gag reflex kicks in on her (even when she decides on her own to try something).

I tease her and call her a fruitatarian! She loves fruits (duh, they're sweet). She's healthy, so I don't worry.
