My youngest got her nickname from the sweet little chirping sound she likes to make ♥ And the sproutlets & I all love that Bob Marley song:
I thought it was the perfect bento for my Lunchbox Love review!Rise up this mornin’,Smiled with the risin’ sun,Three little birdsPitch by my doorstepSingin’ sweet songsOf melodies pure and true,Sayin’, “This is my message to you-ou-ou”
Birdie's bento box is packed with apple wedges, a cheddar sun, yellow & white cheddar birds atop a sandwich made with the cheese scraps, carrots, tomatoes, strawberries & canteloupe. Pretend you don't notice the notes are backwards - I didn't until someone who can actually read music told me!
Each brightly coloured Lunchbox Love note card delivers a special message on one side, and either a fun fact or a silly joke on the other :)
And every card has a cute little bird too!
I love our Lunchbox Love notes. They're such a cute & easy way to add a little fun to my kidlet's school day. My 10 year old looks forwards to getting a Lunchbox Love note with her lunch, in fact, she tells me her whole table enjoys them, and even one of her school's "lunch ladies" often comes over to find out what trivia or joke was on that day's note card :)
Sometimes the sentiment or trivia even fits in with the lunch!
Friday's butterfly themed lunch contained cucumber :)
My World Animal Day bento had a crocodile theme:
This Lunchbox Love note was perfect for Earth Day!
I don't always make a creative lunch though, some days I just don't feel inspired, or I'm running late and don't have time to do much more than toss in some fruits, veggies, and a nutrition bar. Adding a Lunchbox Love note only takes a moment and makes even a plain lunch look special :)
Lunchbox Love Notes aren't just for kids! I often slip one into my husband's work lunch or jacket pocket! There are even card sets made especially for grown-up loved ones, co-workers, and friends :) I even tucked one into a care package full of snacks when my Sailor Boy was deployed:
The Lunchbox Love lasts beyond lunch :)
Once my Bella's read her Lunchbox Love note, she sometimes shares the love by giving it away to a school friend ♥ Sometimes she brings them home so I can reuse them for one of the other sproutlets' lunches. And sometimes she keeps them as a memento. They make great bookmarks!
