Rainy Day Monday Rainbow Bento

It's a rainy Monday, but the sun is trying to shine! I packed a little rainbow in Bella's EasyLunchbox. A grey day needs a colorful lunch :)

That rainbow condiment cup is one of my favourites :) I filled it with Chef Kidd's Honey Berry Funagrette. Her colourful lunch also contains:
  • baby carrots, one skewered in a heart shape (here's how)
  • Girl Scout cookies! Do-si-dos,  the peanut butter sandwich ones
  • celery sticks to dip in the rainbow cup
  • English cucumber slices planted with flower picks
  • Babybel cheese with a flower cut out of the wax
  • & turkey & cheddar on wheat, cut in hearts with Sweet Bytes
I also packed a sunny yellow cloth napkin from Beneficial Bento.

A PlanetBox Launch, With Love

Sailor Boy has another trip & will be away for Valentine's Day, so I made sure the last lunch I made him before he left was full of love

I packed his PlanetBox Launch with:
  • fresh strawberries, some notched & sliced to look like hearts
  • grape tomatoes on a skewer
  • turkey & cheddar wraps secured with forked heart picks
  • a bunch of green grapes
  • a Babybel cheese with little linked hearts cut out of the wax wrapper with a tiny bento decoration cutter

He had a lunch meeting too,  I hope his lovely lunch made everyone smile :)

All the heart accessories & tools I used came from BentoUSA.

Love Letter Lunch

A special delivery lunch, with love

Bella asked for a Luna bar - I dressed it up with a homemade envelope:

She also has a string cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, & a Lunchbox Love note:

I know she's going to love opening this lunch!

February is Heart Month

Just 2 sproutlets took packed lunches today, Pickle & Sprout:

Sprout has graham cracker stars, baby carrots, honey ham rolls, & cheddar & mozzarella bites.  Silicone muffin cups, a conversation heart cupcake ring, & some heart bento picks make it pretty ♥

Pickle has a sandwich stamped with a heart, cookies, & yogurt with a swirl of strawberry syrup. Both sproutlets got Lunchbox Love notes.

I found those 2 particular Lunchbox Love cards quite amusing when I looked at my lunch photos - especially in the order they appear here ;)

Hearty Yumbox

Maybe it's a little early for Valentine's Day, but I like hearts, so I packed this heart-filled Yumbox for my littlest love:

Her Yumbox full of love contains:
  • yogurt with heart cupcake sprinkles
  • strawberries, naturally heart-shaped when the stems are notched
  • 2 little cheese sandwiches cut with a pastry stamp
  • a heart-shaped hard-cooked egg
  • grapes on a heart skewer
  • & a few pink & red swirl berry gummy bears

Sproutlet trivia: Birdie was due on Valentine's Day, but was born the day after. She's still my Valentine baby though :)

Racing Hearts

Mia Bella and I were up until past midnight last night finishing up a school project, and boy were we feeling it this morning. I felt like I was moving in slow motion! I dawdled over a cup of coffee, and before I knew it, it was 8:35 and I hadn't packed lunches yet - we leave at 8:45!  Luckily I only had to pack for 2 since the little girls are home today and I made Beanstalk's yesterday (MineCraft lunch! See it Monday in my ThrifTee Gear review!)

I won my race with the clock, made it with a few minutes to spare too, so I had time to take a photo for Bentos on the Bayou's 15 Minute Fridays link-up :)

I didn't have time to pick out a pretty backround paper though, or to take a photo of Pickle's - but that's okay, if anyone's that interested, he had the exact same thing as he did in Monday's post :)

Taking It Easy

I've had flu this week, so the sproutlets have either packed their own lunches - and not bothered with photos - or had school lunch. I'm a bit better today, and back to making lunch - but I'm still taking it easy :)

Beanstalk's Lock & Lock bento box contains exactly what he asked for - ham, space goldfish crackers, half an apple, & two Oreos (in an EasyLunchboxes Mini Dipper). I chose the sword and Eat Me picks for fun. He can't call those too cute can he? I don't think so...

Bella asked for a "plain" turkey & cheddar croissant sandwich. The cheese inside is actually cut in a big heart shape - I know she'll look too, to make sure it's "plain" :)  On the side she has canteloupe and a sliced roma tomato. In the heart mini muffin cups she has a marshmallow and some dried strawberries.

I know, Valentine's Day is over... but I like hearts, and so does my Bella

Have a heart for lunch ♥

All 3 girls are home today so I made 3 of this heart-y muffin tin meal. They had:
  • Galia melon hearts
  • Strawberry yogurt with sprinkles
  • Fairy bread peanut butter sandwich hearts
  • Cheddar cheese hearts & garlic Triscuit Thins
  • Cucumber hearts
  • Dried strawberries & a strawberry Oreo
Birdie is always home on Mondays, and Sprout's kindergarten schedule has her attend alternate Mondays, but poor Bella is home because she's sick. She had no appetite for her muffin tin lunch but it made her smile nevertheless
