Our family was recently given the opportunity to try out a new interactive book app called "Snoopy's You Can be Anything!" and several copies of the app to give away too! We love Snoopy and the Peanuts gang ♥ I made Birdie a festive Snoopy themed muffin tin snack to enjoy after we read the book :)

With sound effects, animation, and narration if you like, this interactive & customizeable app really brings Snoopy's inspiring message to life. In the story, Snoopy shows kids that they can be anything - a dancer, a surgeon, a grocery store clerk, a world-famous anything they can think of ... really! The professions aren't limited to what's on the page - in the app's Create Mode, kids can personalize the story, add their names, and even change Snoopy's costume! Snoopy Christmas Muffin Tin 

It's Christmastime, so Birdie's tin has both a Snoopy and a holiday theme, with both healthy stuff and treats.  She has raspberries, mozzarella, carrots & popcorn decorated with bento picks & cupcake rings, graham stars & rainbow chocolate covered sunflower seeds (I think they look like Christmas lights) & a pouch of Snoopy gummy fruit snacks.  Oh, and eggnog in a Peanuts cup!

What Peanuts fan wouldn't love a snack of popcorn topped with the world's most famous beagle's smiling mug?

Season's Eatings! A Joyful Yumbox

How happy is this holiday Yumbox? I love it! I can absolutely imagine my little Sydney Bean's smile when she opens her lunchbox and sees these bright colours & her favourite foods ♥ 

Sprout's joy-filled holiday Yumbox lunch contains:

• yogurt with sanding sugar
• raspberries with mozarella stars
• a cocktail tomato with a Joy cupcake pick
• snowflake Ritz crackers
• a polar bear hard-cooked egg
• yogurt-coated raisins

Also included, just not packed inside the Yumbox:

• a Light My Fire Spork Little
• Lunchbox Love for Christmas

The polar bear egg was made with one of my favourite bento tools, the CuteZcute Animal Palz Mini Sandwich & Egg Press. I wish I could give everyone a set for Christmas!

Shiny Happy Holidays!

We got a dusting of snow last night! It didn't stick, but just the sight of it put me in the holiday spirit, and the feeling was still with me when I woke up this morning :) I packed Bella a festive PlanetBox lunch of crackers & cheese, mini marzano tomatoes & cucumber chunks, a snowflake sandwich surrounded by mint Hershey's Kisses, and a Clif bar that I decorated with cookie icing snowflakes. It's not my best work but she'll love it ♥

And of course I added a Lunchbox Love note ♥

It's Tuesday, pancake breakfast for school lunch day! So I only had to pack for Bella, and - surprise, surprise - Beanstalk! My 7th grader buys his lunch more often than not, but every now and then he asks me to pack him one. And today, he even said it was okay for me to put a holiday pick in! My big boy green lighting decorations in his lunch? It's practically a Christmas miracle ;)

I didn't go crazy or anything :) He asked for a LunchBots with Ritz crackers (which just happen to have snowflakes on them) apple wedges, & Clif bar, and I added black grapes & a festive food pick. Happy Holidays Beanstalk!

Winter Wonderlunch - Penguins Are Cool

We got a new bento box that inspired a cool snowflake & penguin lunch:

It's Baby Cool Penguin, one of the new Baby Bento Buddies by CuteZcute!

Baby Bento Buddies are 2-Tier bento boxes with lids that can be used as bowls. Under the bowl lid there is also a fitted lid - and there was just enough room between the two for a couple of snowflake chocolates :)

In the lower tier I packed a snowflake Nutella sandwich, atop a layer of black grapes. The snowflake was made with some of my favourite cutters, a set of nesting snowflakes with tiny cutters for making patterns.

In the upper tier I packed a trio of sweet mini peppers, & cucumber sliced snowflakes embellished with a cute penguin bento pick. Penguins are cool :)

Tooth Fairy Lunch & Lunchbox Love Giveaway!

My 7 year old Sydney Bean aka Sprout finally lost her first tooth this week. She was so excited about leaving it in her little velvet pouch for the tooth fairy to find, and so thrilled with the glittery fairy-dust covered bill she received in payment :)  I made her a tooth fairy lunch to celebrate, and packed it in her pink yubo lunchbox with the fairy faceplate:

She has a tooth fairy peanut butter & Nutella sandwich made with a Lunch Punch, embellished with cupcake sprinkles & surrounded by mini marshmallow teeth, raspberries with a tooth pick, and strawberries with a wand pick. And a Lunchbox Love note with a fun fact about teeth :)

We Love Lunchbox Love!

I love including a Lunchbox Love note with my sproutlets' lunches. Sometimes I choose a note for it's positive or encouraging words, sometimes for the fun fact or joke ... Whether it's a special theme or just lunch, I can always find the perfect Lunchbox Love note. And they love getting them!
