What a mean mama I am, I didn't make special school lunches for Valentine's Day! Nah, it's okay, I had already made the sproutlets Valentine-y school lunches yesterday, for the
Valentine themed blog hop ♥ and Bella & Pickle wanted the school's hot lunch today :) It's breakfast for lunch on Tuesdays, and today they were serving cinnamon french toast & pancakes, and sausages. And since I was up way late making chocolatey pretzel snacks for their classroom festivities, I was quite happy to let the school make them brunch! I'd done my mama duty making lots and lots of these yummy treats:
Pretzels are kind of heart-shaped to begin with. I drizzled a pound of them with half a pound of chocolate - both semisweet and white (coloured pink) - and divided the salty sweet snack between Beanstalk & Bella to share with their classes. Except I did keep this small plate full, for me & the little girls to munch:
I decided to make the little girls and myself brunch as well. We had strawberries, ham, and pink heart-shaped mini omelettes. I cooked the egg & mozzarella omelettes in the microwave in my heart-shaped silicone muffin pan. I wish I'd taken some pics of them cooking! Birdie & Sprout loved watching them puff up out of the pan as they cooked - they looked like they would explode and make a huge mess - but when the microwave stopped, they deflated into perfect proper heart shapes :)
Come to think of it, Beanstalk did get a Valentine's Day lunch today! He took the lunch I made him yesterday, but that he didn't eat because he wasn't feeling well. He felt better today :) Here it is again - or you can

Cute and I like your heat shaped plate too. Oh, I sent you an email yesterday, did you receive it?
