I made the sandwiches they wanted and added some cheese and fruit leather hearts too. Birdie's dinosaur got his love :)
The sproutlets & I delivered this bento to a friend's little boy who's the same age as Birdie. He likes vehicles so I went with a transportation theme for him:
I packed him a Sassy box containing:
- a ham and cheese sandwich train - using a Train Bytes cutter - with carrot slice wheels
- a cheddar cheese airplane, using a Wilton cookie cutter
- a hard-cooked egg, made car-shaped with an egg mold
- green grapes
- grape tomatoes
- a celery stick
This little guy's mom likes him to have his crusts, so they went in the bento as tracks - her idea, love it!
Vote for this lunch!
I can't help but sing the Barney song after looking at those cute dinos! "I love you , you love me..." hehe
ReplyDeleteYou are the best and Jakob loved every bite (except the cherry tomoatoes..lol)! He even ate his "track pieces", I am trying to think of other things to use the egg molds for. So far I have come up with using them for rice balls, I am going to try it tomorrow :) I will let you know how they turn out! I did try to put marshmallows in there, but they were too small, maybe I could make home made marshmallows..hmmm!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I am glad the dinos found love :D And the transportation bento for a friend is so nice!
