I didn't plan on joining in this Mom's Day Off blog hop - Sailor Boy took all the sproutlets out for the whole day Mother's Day (yesterday), so I had a nice long break and only myself to make lunch for (it was awesome!) - but since my darling little Birdie & Sprout have been taking turns getting up all night, and now the sun is rising, I figured, might as well let them pack their own bentos for later, in case I am too exhausted to feed them...
She chose her Goodbyn Bynto lunch box, and a muffin, some cheddar cheese, carrots, celery, and grapes to put in it. Here Sprout is cutting a flower and butterfly from the cheddar. I had my camera on the wrong setting for a fast-moving 5 year old and the dim 5:00 am lighting, oh well, sorry about the blur, but, no do-overs :)
Just one little shape from the centre of each slice of cheese, really?
Sprout is sleeping now too. I have a feeling today is going to be a loooong day! Ah well, I had a fabulous and relaxing Mother's Day yesterday :) I hope all my fellow mamas did too!
My lovely bento blogging friend Keeley McGuire was kind enough to let me cut in, so won't you please help me thank her for her awesomeness by following the hop all the way through and back to her? Your first stop is What The Girls Are Having - click the flower to see the beautiful bento Dina's daughter packed herself!
Mmm, those muffins look delish!
ReplyDeleteSprout did a great job and looks like she had a lot of fun! :)
so cute!!! those muffins sound awesome!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe cheese shapes on the water bottle make perfect sense... and they're cute too! The muffins sound good too! I desperately need to make muffins, but I've been avoiding it.
ReplyDeleteLove it! She was definitely thinking about the cheese staying fresh!
ReplyDeletePicking picks and making cheese shapes is my daughter's favorite too! Her lunch is just lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love all the great picks used in the lunches and the fact that the water bottle got decorated! hahaha. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe lunches look lovely. So cute that she cut out of the middle of the cheese. Maybe she wanted to leave you some extra scraps for your snack. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love that she thought about not getting her cheese smooshy :)
ReplyDeleteAny chance I can worm that muffin recipe from you? ;)
ReplyDeleteLove that they had so much fun making their own bentos! Even if they did violate the boundaries on the cheese-cutting. :P
I'll have to give these a try! :) My baby boy LOVES butternut squash and pumpkin, so I'm sure he'll love these too! Thank you, you clever woman!
